Have you not qualified for a semi-final spot instead of just the final??? I only ask as there are 2 Southern groups and my understanding was the top 2 from the North played the winners of the 2 Southern groups in a semi-final
February 12th, 2008 at 9:02 am
I believe the two southern groups play each other to decide who plays the northern winner.

It would be good if the EIHA could clarify this as it’s gin clear at the start of the season what we were all aiming for, ie a top 2 place.
How on earth are we supposed to market the games when the result could:
a) be vital
or
b) be meaningless
Some clarification would be very useful indeed.

John’s right. It’s a semi final against the loser of the South A versus South B tie. (2 legs from now on.)
February 14th, 2008 at 11:24 pm
Then the 2nd placed Nothern club plays the winner of the southern tie.
Winner of South 1 v North 2
plays
Winner of South 2 v North 1.
Games over two (home & away)legs.

There’s no change to the EIHA decision made in July.

apparently there’s a second leg yet so it’s not over. the 2nd leg is this weekend. looking like invicta in the semis but ya never know.
March 18th, 2008 at 1:12 pm
the peterborough win over invicta was in the south playoffs not the cup so we still don’t know who we’ve got in the cup semis yet. their games in the cup are played 5th/6th april - the weekend before coventry.
