Spartans retain NIHL 1 status

After a difficult end to the regular season, the Spartans found themselves facing potential relagation to NIHL 2 in a playoff game against Widnes Wild. The Spartans retained NIHL 1 status with a solid 5-0 victory over the Wild at Blackburn Arena.
